I. Obi Emeruwa, MD, PhD, MBA
Founding Member | President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. I. Obi Emeruwa is a physician-scientist and healthcare executive with board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine. He holds an AB in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University, an MD and MBA from Columbia University, and a PhD in Health Policy and Management from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
At UCLA, Dr. Emeruwa served as Pulmonary Clinical Lead of the Adult Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program. His doctoral research examined critical care resource allocation policies and their implications for mortality and racial disparities using microsimulation modeling. He is also Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of CranioView, Inc., a medical device startup developing noninvasive intracranial pressure monitoring technology. Named a Forbes Future Healthcare Leader in business school, Dr. Emeruwa brings a rare integration of clinical expertise, research rigor, and entrepreneurial vision to his leadership of 3DI.

Dr. Iheanacho Emeruwa is an obstetrician-gynecologist and internist with more than three decades of dedicated service to the Inland Empire medical community. He holds a BS in Chemistry, Summa Cum Laude, from Edinboro State College and an MD, Alpha Omega Alpha, from Howard University College of Medicine.
A founding physician of Aspen Medical Group, Dr. Emeruwa has been in active private practice since 1988. His earlier career spanned emergency and urgent care medicine, including roles as an Emergency Room Physician at Kaiser Permanente, an Urgent Care Physician with Cigna Health Plans of California, and Associate Medical Director at the Baltimore City Jail. Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he brings board-level expertise across both obstetrics and gynecology and internal medicine. He remains an active participant in international medical mission trips, reflecting a lifelong commitment to broadening access to quality care beyond clinical and geographic boundaries.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Emeruwa has been a civic and community leader across multiple domains. He served as a founding Board Director of Premier Service Bank — including on its Compensation Committee and as a member of the Organizing Committee that established the bank prior to licensure. He is also the Founding Executive Director of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) and the founding Board Chair of the African Primary Healthcare Foundation (APHF).

Magdalen Emeruwa brings a distinctive blend of engineering precision and healthcare administration expertise to the organization. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University and an MS in Chemical Engineering from Howard University.
Her early career was defined by technical excellence — as a Research Engineer at the National Bureau of Standards, she studied phase equilibrium of hydrocarbon mixtures and developed computational tools for heat exchanger design. She went on to serve as a Research and Development Engineer at Standard Oil Company (SOHIO) in Cleveland, Ohio, and as a Process Design Engineer at CF Braun, Inc. in California. She later transitioned to healthcare administration, where she has served for decades as Administrator of Aspen Medical Group, overseeing policies and procedures, provider credentialing, licensure, and contract negotiations. She is also President and CEO of Associated Management Consultants, a practice management and billing company. Earlier in her career, she served as Founding Secretary of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA), organizing CME conventions, leading medical outreach efforts, and coordinating committee activities from 1993 to 2001. She also served as Founding Secretary of the African Primary Healthcare Foundation (APHF).

Dr. Ukachi Emeruwa is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist and health equity advocate. She holds an AB in Economics from Princeton University, an MD from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
An Assistant Professor at UC San Diego and Women’s Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) Scholar, Dr. Emeruwa has received multiple grants supporting clinical trials, care initiatives, and public awareness campaigns in global maternal health, resulting in numerous publications in high-impact journals. She co-founded UC San Diego Health’s Fourth Trimester Program, a multidisciplinary model for comprehensive postpartum-newborn care. Her research centers on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, with a focus on innovative diagnostics and digital health solutions to advance equitable access to early detection and management of postpartum hypertension. Her broader interests span community-level program design and global maternal health, with prior experience in malaria prevention and health systems strengthening. Research interests include effectiveness-implementation trials and applications of novel technologies to advance equity-centered improvements in maternal outcomes and innovative care models.
Ezinne N. Emeruwa, MD, MPH
Ezinne Ngwamma Emeruwa, MD, MPH

Dr. Ezinne Emeruwa is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She holds an AB in Physics from Princeton University and both an MD and MPH from Columbia University — the latter from the Mailman School of Public Health with a specialization in Biostatistics.
Dr. Emeruwa is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and is board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. She works clinically in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Intensive Care, bringing specialized expertise at the intersection of complex congenital heart disease and critical care. Her research and advocacy interests center on global access to high-acuity and resource-intensive pediatric care, particularly for children with heart disease. She has contributed to international cardiac surgical missions and has served as Director of Children’s Health Initiatives at the African Primary Healthcare Foundation since 2016.

Jesika Lopez brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare administration to the organization. A Riverside native, she completed her foundational training at the Riverside Occupational Program, earning certifications in both Nursing Assistance and Medical Assistance before building a career defined by deep institutional knowledge and operational excellence.
Jesika’s professional home has long been the 3DI family of entities. She has served Aspen Medical Group since 2003 and Circle City Midwifery since 2023, accumulating expertise that spans executive support, office operations, provider credentialing, regulatory compliance, human resources, and revenue cycle management. Her career reflects a rare combination of clinical and administrative fluency — she understands not just the paperwork, but the people and care processes behind it. Known for the thoughtfulness and care she brings to every interaction, Jesika is a steady, trusted presence for clinical staff, vendors, and patients alike. Her people-first approach and deep institutional knowledge make her a cornerstone of 3DI’s administrative operations.

Teresa Orozco is a dependable, detail-oriented professional with more than two decades of experience in front-line healthcare administration. She completed her secondary education at Brawley Union High School in Brawley, California, before building a career defined by operational precision and patient-centered service.
Since 2005, Teresa has served as Front Desk Receptionist at Aspen Medical Group in Riverside, California — a cornerstone of 3DI’s network of entities — where she has honed her skills in communications, inventory management, and administrative support. Her responsibilities have included greeting patients and visitors, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, routing communications, and maintaining a welcoming, well-organized reception environment. Teresa brings a strong service ethic to every interaction. Her long tenure at Aspen Medical Group and firsthand familiarity with 3DI’s affiliated entities make her a trusted and seamlessly integrated member of the broader 3DI operational team.
